We've supported media education as a major public service initiative for over 20 years, to encourage students, educators, parents and all members of society to think critically about and develop a more complete understanding and appreciation for media. We make commercial-free original programming (and accompanying study guides written by media education professionals) available for use in the classroom; we fund media education initiatives; and we donate airtime and web space to the issue, providing tools and resources that encourage a heightened awareness about the nature and role of the media. Our support of media education is also in keeping with our desire to fairly and accurately reflect and portray Canada’s culturally diverse groups.

“Pungente never critiques the film, but concentrates on informing the audience and giving them the tools to analyze and understand the film themselves.” –The Globe & Mail
