Carrie Bradshaw
Columnist Carrie Bradshaw has made a name for herself by capturing the essence of the NYC singles scene. Never shying away from difficult or delicate subjects, she has covered everything from emotional dependence to sexual independence, using the experiences of her friends as well as her own for source material. And somehow, through all her research and realizations, she's remained open to the possibility of finding love among the ruins.
Despite her many dalliances, no one has won, and frustrated, Carrie's heart like Mr. Big. Then, along came the anti-Big, Aidan Shaw. Still, she couldn't sever herself from Big, and embarked on a torrid affair with her married ex. Carrie confessed to Aidan and watched him walk away, but they eventually reunited -and got engaged.
Carrie struggled to quiet her fear of commitment, but ultimately realized she wasn't quite ready. When Aidan pushed her, she realized he still did not trust her and the relationship ended in despair. Single again, Carrie turned to getting her life in order. With Big's move to California, she said goodbye to her past and faced her future with renewed strength and hope.
Carrie then sought to define herself outside of a relationship. Yet despite, or perhaps because of, her professional success, Carrie became increasingly cynical about love. She felt a spark with Jack Berger, a fellow writer, but with his insecurities, soon that fizzled. Big continued to push and pull but this time Carrie refused to put her heart in play. Now she finds herself with Aleksandr, who is certain of himself. Will Carrie be thrown off balance or will she fall into the arms of this older, Russian artist? Watch how Carrie's story ends.
