The Story So Far ...
In the beginning, there were four girlfriends. While celebrating the thirtysomething birthday of one of the four, the women made a pact - to have sex like men. They decided to date who they wanted, when they wanted, and as often as they wanted to get what they wanted.
Unfortunately, the New York dating scene is not for the faint at heart. Despite being attractive, intelligent, stylish and talented, Samantha Jones, a PR exec, lawyer Miranda Hobbes, Charlotte York, an art dealer and celebrated columnist Carrie Bradshaw, find themselves searching high and low for lust and love in The Big Apple.
Carrie fell head over heels for Mr. Big. They pushed and pulled for several seasons but nothing seemed able to keep them together. Charlotte was focused on finding her Prince Charming and found that the man of her dreams was really a dud and her perfect wedding became a recipe for divorce.
Miranda felt that the shark-infested dating waters were too much for her to bear, though she did manage to find a friend. Her friendship left her pregnant. Reluctant at love, Miranda is searching for new footing as a mom. On the other end of the spectrum, Miss Samantha Jones is determined to be free as a bird after risking her heart in love and losing once.
Each woman was determined to find some connection, as the dating game grew tiresome. Charlotte found love again, in the form of someone who was the complete antithesis of the Prince Charming she had always envisioned in her mind. Now happily married she's eager to make her picture perfect home complete with the addition of a baby. Miranda, already with her little one, is finally ready to add the baby's father to the mix. Samantha is reluctantly giving into her emotional attachment to her young stud. And Carrie, forever questioning the choices of the heart, finds herself puzzled by a man with a strong sense of self.
