Miranda Hobbes
You couldn't spell "pragmatism" without the 'm' in the middle for Miranda. She's a corporate lawyer who has become accustomed to listening to her head and not her heart, but ultimately, Miranda's heart is quite big.
Date after date proved to be failures - the likes of which could easily be described as Hell. Through it all, one man kept returning to her life like a little puppy to the supper table. Steve Brady, a laid-back, basketball loving, boyish bartender who could barely take care of a dog but managed to always be there for Miranda. And she has been there for him.
Over the years, Miranda and Steve have swung between being friends and being lovers. He took care of her when she recovered from laser eye surgery. She was his biggest supporter when he dealt with testicular cancer. Sensitive to Steve's fragile ego, Miranda had pity sex with him to help bolster his manhood. Soon afterward there was actual proof of Steve's virility when Miranda discovered she was pregnant.
Miranda didn't think that right now was the time to be having a baby, she also knew that she didn't want it to be never. Like many people thrown a curve ball she struggled with feelings of resentment, inadequacy and anxiety as her body and her life were changed. Now baby Brady Hobbes has been born. This season, we'll cheer Miranda on as she strives to balance her life and her loves as a woman who can truly do it all. Watch how Miranda's life takes a turn. Only on Bravo!
