SEASON ONE SYNOPSES
Vanished (1/01) The Missing Persons Squad attempt to solve the case of a young female marketing executive who appears to have walked away from everything in her life. Jack Malone assumes she is lost forever until her mother receives a ransom note demanding a million dollars for her daughter's safe return. Birthday Boy (1/02) An 11-year-old boy gets separated from his father en route to a baseball game at Yankee Stadium and is presumed to have been abducted. Further evidence leads the Missing Persons Squad to believe the boy may have run off on purpose. He Saw, She Saw (1/03) A woman is abducted from a mall parking lot when her husband goes back into a store to retrieve his credit card. The Missing Persons Squad uncover that this case may be more than just a random kidnapping. Between the Cracks (1/04) The Missing Persons Squad investigates the disappearance of a young model who has not been seen for several days. Jack Malone continues to be haunted by an old case that has not been solved. Suspect (1/05) A 17-year-old student from a private boarding school is reported missing and Jack Malone suspects the charismatic headmaster is involved with the disappearance. Silent Partner (1/06) Jack and his team investigate the disappearance of a New York businessman. They discover that the man was leading a secret double life and was put under surveillance by his father-in-law. Snatch Back (1/07) The Missing Persons Squad investigates the disappearance of the child of a prominent New York Assistant District Attorney. After further inspection of the evidence, the team members soon realize that they are focusing on the wrong aspect of the case. Little Big Man (1/08) A teenaged boy goes missing in a bad neighbourhood after a fight with a local bully. Jack and his team discover that the boy had been visited by his older brother, who did time at juvenile hall, and they fear that the brother may have led the teenager down the wrong moral path. In Extremis (1/09) A well-respected Saudi Arabian medical intern disappears and evidence found in his apartment suggests that he may have been a terrorist. Midnight Sun (1/10) A man leaves his house one morning to go to work and drop off his daughter at school, but they never arrive at their destinations. The Missing Persons Squad uncovers shocking information about the man, and his wife fears she will never see him or their daughter again. Maple Street (1/11) A 13-year-old girl and her friend are reported missing and a series of videotapes made by them may be the only hope to help find their whereabouts. Jack and his team discover that one girl has been found dead and they strive to find her friend before time runs out. Underground Railroad (1/12) The Missing Persons Squad searches for a pregnant woman who disappears from the hospital before finding out that she has serious complications. The woman may have been trying to escape from her abusive husband via an "underground railroad" that assists battered women. Hang On to Me (1/13) Jack Malone continues to fret over a missing child's case that has gone unsolved for several years. The father of the young boy takes matters into his own hands and discovers a clue to his son's disappearance. Jack fears the man will do something desperate to finally get his child back. The Friendly Skies (1/14) Jack and the Missing Persons Squad search for an airline stewardess who has disappeared en route to the airport. The team discovers that she had an online relationship with a serial killer and she may have become his latest victim. There Goes the Bride (1/15) Jack and his team investigate the disappearance of a bride from her wedding celebration. They learn that she cheated on her fiancé and she was being blackmailed. A member of the groom's family looks to be involved with the disappearance. Clare de Lune (1/16) The Missing Persons Squad look for a teenage girl who vanishes from a psychiatric hospital. They come across conflicting evidence regarding her mental health and learn about a disturbing incident from her past. Kam Li (1/17) Jack Malone and his team investigate the disappearance of a retired U.S. Army officer who is linked to a controversial, fatal incident involving one of his men in Vietnam . The Missing Persons Squad attempts to find out if this event is connected to the disappearance. The Source (1/18) A female television reporter vanishes in the middle of a high-profile investigation against a nightclub owner who is a suspected drug dealer. The reporter was also involved in a case of a murderer who might be linked to an assistant D.A. working with on the case with Jack Malone. Victory for Humanity (1/19) Jack and his team search for a young schoolteacher who vanished after teaching a night class in the Bronx . They discover that the teacher is wealthy from selling an Internet business, but he may also be a drug dealer. His disappearance may be his own choice or he may have been abducted. No Mas (1/20) Jack and the team look for a boxer en route to a fight at New York 's Madison Garden. The boxer's brother may have pre-arranged to stage the fight in order to erase his gambling debt. The brother is later found murdered and the team finds information possibly implicating the boxer. Are You Now or Have You Ever Been? (1/21) Jack Malone becomes the target of the Office of Professional Responsibility when they challenge his methods in the case against an accused pedophile. The professional futures of the team are called into question. Fall Out (1 of 2) (1/22) After an unemployed man's wife dies in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks, he takes her former boss hostage demanding $50,000 in a ransom note. He begins to panic and the kidnapping soon turns into a volatile hostage crisis. (Season finale: part 1 of 2) Fall Out (2 of 2) (1/23) A member of Jack's team is shot in the hostage situation and he successfully negotiates her release by substituting himself, and bargaining on behalf of the remaining hostages. The squad continues to search for the kidnapped woman. (Season finale: part 2 of 2) |
